Re: Walkthrough Small Talk, thread #2

Regarding the crane jump/skip, you're right. Climbing the sloped ledge  is a glitch in the engine, but you only ever need to make the jump one time if you follow the walkthrough (otherwise yes you run around like a headless chicken in the dark for too long and may find yourself doing it over a...

Re: Walkthrough Small Talk, thread #2

#623 — Q-Tech Base, by Pregusia I've stumbled upon a level design flaw in which I'm permanently stuck so I'll have to start over as skimming the wakthrough wasn't enough to pinpoint where I missed the door trigger (plus I go through all the slots too quickly, so even though I was 50 minutes in, my e...

Re: I'm Back

I'm assuming you already installed the "Higher Quality FMV files" from the TombATI download page, so in that case all you need to do is copy over the remastered mp4 files and rename them accordingly (ie cafe.mp4, vision.mp4 etc) to replace the HQ videos. The last secret fixer is pretty handy in the ...

Re: I'm Back

Thanks for the visit (and sorry for the language barrier!). For TR1, by replacing the original high-quality mp4 files with the remastered mp4 files, you can actually get them to play in-game if you're using the TombATI solution from Paul. Nice to spin things a bit after god knows how many replays we...

So you may see me from time to time asking dopey questions about these relics that I should know but have forgotten.
You get to experience them like the first time, could you ask for anything better? :D

Re: Fragments Of The Core

Regardless whether they're active on the forums or not, it's not a commendable attitude towards any level designer. It was a decision she made, she had her reasons, and we should respect them even if we disagree with them.

Re: PedroTheGamer : The Egyptian Great Wall (Demo)

I'm fairly sure the original TR4 project files released alongside the TRLE had the same purpose as MagPlus's Egyptian tutorial - to allow future builders to study and understand how key mechanics work. We've all * rebuilt the tut1.prj from scratch following the manual, instead of simply picking the ...

Re: Advent Calendar Banner - Dec 2017

It's a problem with our internet service provider, I can't reach the domain either. This is not the ideal solution, but you can access the calendar with a proxy server (here's a free one I just googled and tested).

Manarch, I've tried your savegame and the level skip loaded correctly for me. I created a new savegame, hopefully this helps.

Re: Lara Returns to the Coliseum

Strange that apparently no one who has reviewed it has experienced anything. I like Lukasz' levels but for some reason have not played this one yet, so I will have a go (soon-ish) and let you know how things go on my end. At first, from your post, I suspected there might be something wrong with the ...

Re: ATTN: TR1 custom levels on Windows7 without Dosbox

Deja vu? :D

I haven't messed around with TR1 custom levels in a while (or any other sort, in all honesty), but I'd assume there might be a way to get the soundtracks working under the Dosbox bundle, otherwise that wouldn't have been the best fix for the original game at any given time.

Re: Tomb Raider The Dagger of Xian Remake

Val, this is an custom engine built from the ground up to replicate the Legend trilogy games, so if you have had any experience with any of those games you'll find yourself at home here. That being said, it's notably optimized for using a dual analogue controller instead (much like any other game re...

There's unfortunately no savegame for this either, so if I can't do it, then that's the end of this level for me.
You can always post your current savegame so someone else might have a go at it and provide you an updated save. :)

Very sad to hear the news, not much else to say really other than we'll all miss her kind and uplifting personality.

Thanks for letting us know, Carol.
