Re: Jungle Ruins the Original and first game by GMac Raider X

Nice. Saves now work in the second level. Must have just been a bug in level 1. Onwards........

Jungle Ruins the Original and first game by GMac Raider X

Hi Guys I know this is an old one but I am having huge difficulties trying to load ANY saves for this as the TR4 exe just crashes (and no I did not shoot the monkeys). I made it right to the end to place the key just before the second level starts but now NOTHING loads at all. Would anyone have a sa...

Re: BartolisReturn by alan

Hi Snarky Yes, I used the door corner glitch as well as I did not see any other way with that one. Made it to level four so far and I think this is quite good (apart from the floor tiles you walk through which can hide pickups that the dead drop) with some tough sections and platforming to negotiate...

Re: What would you like to see in a TR custom level?

Yeah, saw that Jorge22 but in reality that was still pretty close. However, that IS the type of thing I'm talking about but at a far greater range.

Yes but the VCI levels were still close range shots from memory.

Re: What would you like to see in a TR custom level?

I would like to see the introduction of a sniper rifle that you add the telescopic sight to, that would allow the player to pan the area ahead and take out targets from a long distance (and safety). Back in TR2 the M16 had a greater range than the pistols or uzis or anything else so it should be abl...

Re: Amber life - Amber Life

It's supposed to be fun, NOT stressful, and sometimes I like just blowing shit up for a stress relief. The older we get it's harder to play with the builder's and they can't even do some of their own timed runs or jumps. I play TR to relax, but lately it's just more stress to my life so what's the ...

Torry, How did you get past that electrical cart to get back to the first fuse? This is where I am totally stuck!
Hi Suz

Yes, deep in the pool under the submersible is a passage from memory.

Re: Overly Complex Levels

Every level I play I try to complete without the walk through and I use the number of times I consult a walk through to compile the game play score I give. If I only consult it two or three times in an hour long level then all good. However if I am forced to constantly consult the walk through I am ...

Re: Overly Complex Levels

...... and that is democracy in it's finest form lizard queen. Even though you list six things that you personally disliked about the level you still gave it the perfect score. You can overlook these fallacies when you freely admit to resulting to the walk through and utilizing save games from other...

Re: Overly Complex Levels

Even with the written walk through for these levels they are confusing and I find that the video walk through is the only way of having any chance of completing these kind of levels so hats off to those obviously lonely folk who make them and have no real lives at all. I don't care about anything e...

Re: Overly Complex Levels

No Sir, I did not say your level was garbage. What I did say is that it was overly complex in my opinion. Others may not find it so.

Re: Overly Complex Levels

OK fair enough. We will just have to agree to disagree on this. In your mind you provided sufficient hints and clues. In my mind, not so much. That is simply different perspectives.

Re: Overly Complex Levels

I'm the kind of builder that can't stand another level where all you do is pull a lever, pickup a puzzle item and put it in its hole to open a door. It's been like this for so many many many years. Why aren't you all tired of levels that in the end have the literal same kind of gameplay? I'm up for...
