Re: Tomb Raider II - The Dagger of Xian

TR2 was my first foray into raiding as well, about 10 years ago, and as such, I'll remember it for introducing me to the series I an dearly fond of. I never managed to play the original TR1 without using the hassle that Glidos provided with, but I'm pleased to hear that I can play TR1 custom levels...

Tomb Raider II - The Dagger of Xian

This was my first ever raid. It was my second gaming experience after finding and playing "Nitemare 3-D" (essentially a more modern upgrade of the text-based Hugo games), on a shareware disk. I saw TR II in a supermarket and it appealed but sadly, back then my existing desktop PC refused to run it s...

Re: What is your Most Hated Manoeuvre?

For me its not a hate just a slight struggle (and it can be a dislike) When you Jump off a rope onto another rope. Because it is always hard to get to the next rope Yes, there seems to be a flaw in this particular manouver which involves the vision key being off-sight. If you get Lara dead centre s...

What is your Most Hated Manoeuvre?

For me it used to be rope-swinging. After that, tightrope-walking. I have mastered both now so it is definitely banana jumps :D

How about yours?

Oh and feel free to include gaming tips! 8)

Re: Very Sick Cat

I am pleased to update this thread with more positive news regarding Baggy. He's recently had another antibiotic and some powdered meds to help clear the congestion. The biggest improvement is the fact he is eating very well - including wet food! Sadly he will now always be a carrier but we can't qu...

Re: Let's Play Tomb Raider - VCI Style!

Thanks, Ryan, excellent choice! :D :2thumbsup:

I agree though in that I too do not particularly favour VCI levels. Maybe because I detest laser traps lol :D

Re: Let's Play Tomb Raider - Jungle Style!

I don't think I'd ever really thought about it that way but I agree entirely on the really dull colours in more recent TR games. That actually keeps me away. Same thing with several level releases although I may end up playing them (and not enjoying all those bland blues and greens). I think the pr...

Re: Let's Play Tomb Raider - Jungle Style!

You can be sure that any levels recommended by me won't be dull coloured. I love bright colours and lighting too. Venice in TR2 is one of my favourite locations in the original games. :2thumbsup: Agreed. Venice was amazing. TRII was my first ever Raid, It took me many weeks to complete and t...

Re: Let's Play Tomb Raider - Jungle Style!

I might add that I am not always a great fan of jungle levels. TRIII was a real novelty - the sounds and ambience were AMAZING but after a time I got a bit bored of the texturing  I like nautical levels for instance BUT in TRII I became half-crazed when playing all the Maria Doria levels. It wa...

Re: Let's Play Tomb Raider - Jungle Style!

Wow some great looking level sets here, thanks folks! Mytly I don't mind the coastal levels being incorporated as they can be classified as jungle-esque to a degree :2thumbsup: Obviously some levels cross over from one genre to another. You can start off on a ship and end up on a desert island so it...

Let's Play Tomb Raider - Jungle Style!

Before we delightfully start the festive level recommendations, how about we discuss and suggest some nice jungle themed levels? Any good ones out there? I recall one I never completed whereby Lara starts off in a tent. I think she has to start a fire nearby but this was years ago so that's about al...
