Article about TRLE.net and the community?

So, I was very (pleasantly) surprised to stumble upon this article on "Motherboard" by Jess Joho about our site purely by happenstance: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/meet-the-people-whove-been-making-tomb-raider-levels-for-20-years (btw, apologies if anyone else did the shameless plug, ...

Re: Petition idea- let's get the Core Design staff to use tr

This looks very good :) I would suggest adding some direct links to trle.net/ tombraiderforums.com and possibly other forums after this sentence: Perhaps also, you have some sketches of levels that were never made, that we could help recreate. Please post any of your photos and memories. But most of...

Re: Petition idea- let's get the Core Design staff to use tr

Interesting thread. I'm only wondering if a petition is the right way to go about it, or at least call it a petition? I mean - they are not in a position of authority/power over us, and as private people who may or may not have moved on long ago to other projects - so I'm not sure what good a petiti...

Belated every-year-you-get-older-day greetings, Loch! :bday: :sheep:

Contrary to my foolish promises, I've yet to give your BTB level a go :uhoh2: I'll just topple that with more promises of getting round to it soon! :square:

Re: Back to Basics 2016 - Theme discussion

Mytly and eTux: I suggested Africa, but specifically aimed at Benin, because a culture there produced and exported iron, when Europe was still working with bronze. I don't reject other areas in this huge continent, but Benin offered some special possibilities with an advanced culture and two religi...

Re: Back to Basics 2016 - Theme discussion

Africa as in Subsaharan Africa is something I've been rooting for for a long time - I think the potential for great, wide-ranging stuff whether along the lines of: natural settings (think "The Lion King" - elephant cemeteries, jungles, the Savannah and the respective wildlife - or perchance an oppor...

Ah, my bad, should've paid more attention to the listing instead of just checking out the forum :rolleyes5: Either way, well done :2thumbsup:

Re: Vinci's Twin Hammer missing?

Of course it's available on other sites (has been since times immemorial) - but the installation was cumbersome - and I could not adapt it the same way I could the other TR1 levels - hence the omission on TRLE.net, which is what I guess Lucas was asking about :) If anyone is industrious/resourceful ...

Re: Vinci's Twin Hammer missing?

Hey, Lucas Sorry for the late reply, I only check in so much these days here, unfortunately. I recall doing a lot of the compiling to make all/most of the unofficial levels available to be reviewed/downloadable at TRLE.net - so I suppose any omissions are on my head so to say too :) The long and sho...

Re: TRLE for mac.

I would say "no" to NGLE/TRNG/TREP or anything of that level of customization, provided you don't run them in a Windows environment - but the level editor itself has been available for the Mac since at least 2001, I think. Since the original PC TRLE is freely (and legally) downloadable from the web ...

Re: October has arrived

Am way late to the 'guess-the-costume' competition - but my guess is that Jesse was Fix-it-Felix (from Wreck-it-Ralph) :hammer: :D - incidentally, is this the first time we see your picture, Jesse, or do I just peek into these threads far too rarely? :anxious:

Re: MAC WAD TOOLS

Someone who actually used or uses it may give a more elaborate answer - but basically it's a wad editing tool in the Mac environment (sort of what TRWest and Wadmerger are for PC users).

Re: Rufi's questions

I imagine a condition trigger with variables might achieve that, but I'm too thoroughly confused by them to advise you personally on the how-to  For a more traditional approach - maybe the library globe puzzle could give you some insight how to get a particular pushable to trigger a partic...
