Re: My new rock music album

Hi there peeps. I'm not here much these days, but be sure I am very busy. My band Rags N Riches has a new album coming out in a few months and I am releasing my next solo album in the second half of the year. Just put up a new clip for a song off the first Mazz-XT album. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Back To Basics 2018 - Open for registration

Remind me: net gameplay means...? How long you played minus deaths and wanton exploration? Net gameplay = the time that is displayed in the stats of the game. Gross gametime = the time a player actually spends playing a level. My estimation is that if you as a builder knowing the correct path throu...

Re: Back To Basics 2018 - Open for registration

Get excited peeps. :jump2: :jump2: :jump2: This BtB will undoubtedly produce a bunch of uniquely different levels because it's a change from the classic locations and the building assets are so diverse and new. If you're keen to build a level with a space theme then you won't be disappointed and you...

Re: Back To Basics 2018 - Open for registration

Regarding Tomb Editor, no, it won't be included in this competition. Reasons are fairly easy, one of them is that there's no time to get used to it and, of course, we aren't going to release an editor that we don't know how it's used or if it's stable just because it's something new and exciting. W...

Re: Pat Chancey (Mugs)

 Oh my lord...... Devastating news. As much as online friends can be, I truly called Pat a trusted and great friend. In this online world you build strong bonds with just a few people, and she has always been a tower of strength and compassion. I'm just so sad right now. Vale Pat Chancey....

Re: Sooo... Back to basics 2016

Hi Jorge Your critique is useful feedback to the relevant builder, and perhaps to the wider audience of BtB builders in general. I recall a similarly lengthy level a few years ago. This is a bit of a personal bug-bear of my own. Every year we 'suggest' to the the builders that they should aim to bui...

Thank you all very much!!! :jump: It's a special one this year (the big six number) and I'm celebrating in a big way in a few weeks time returning to the rock n roll stage for a show with my old band for the first time in 25 years. Should be fun! :guitarist: :drummer: :singer: :guitarist: :guitarist:

Re: General Level Editing Thread

Yep Wadmerger converts range of values 0-100 in sounds.txt to a percentage of 0-127. Let's not even go there why.... it was some routine in the Wadmerger code that was never fixed. Don't question it... just accept it as another annoying quirk of Wadmerger.

Re: General Level Editing Thread

They only reset if I load the wad and try to generate (display?) its values as sounds.txt. OK now I see what you mean. Yes, you are right. When you load a wad into TRLE sound editor and then generate a sounds.txt from it, the editor uses its internal reference - standard sounds.txt values and marks...

Re: General Level Editing Thread

No. If you followed that instruction on image 35 - you would generate a new sounds.txt in the Sounds.txt tab. At this stage it's not saved anywhere. This would then show you what the values are in your wad. If those values are not changing (i.e they appear to be reverting to the original values), th...

Re: General Level Editing Thread

I know you've tried to explain thoroughly what you're seeing, but I think there is information missing from your description which makes it hard to diagnose the problem and I don't want to confuse you further. But it does appear to me that you are getting confused with where sources of sounds.txt ar...
