To get it working all I did was make sure I went into settings. (Press ctrl when it said). Didn't even have to change a setting.

When a wad is opened the .sfx and .sam will be opened too if they exist. The wad only contains slot numbers in the animations. The sam contains the sample names. The sfx contains the rest of the sound info. If you delete the sam and sfx for the wad and open the wad the editor uses default sounds.txt...

I suggest you recreate the wad using wads that came with TRLE and objects from trsearch. Steps that I did were. Create wad from TR4 file using latest Wadmerger...

Click on the door in the 2D grid until it is selected with green outline.
Then press "delete" key on keyboard.

Sure.

As for rotation problem I think it is wadmerger fault not glut or anything else.

Study up on 3D rotations, euler angles.

Maybe if you apply rotations in this order it may help. Y then X then Z.

Have you tried Paolone's update fix for WM?

It adds extra buttons to use for rotation and translation.

That's what I sometimes do, but often moving a vertex to flatten one quad bends the adjacent one. Moving them in couples is better, but still I never know if I didn't forget a quad, especially when an object is complex. I think an algorithm to batch flatten quads in Meta, changing the shape as litt...

Well you could do some maths and move one point where it needs to be.

EDIT: Maybe you can use Selected>Align vertices option?

You don't need to purchase Metasequoia. Latest version 4.3.4 should work but in Configuration>File make sure to uncheck embed a thumbnail just to keep the MQO size a lot smaller. Bigger size slows down import. Make sure there are only triangles and quads in the model since new version of Metasequoia...

I think you can safely ignore that error. It is a problem drawing the moveable. IIRC if you save the wad and then reopen it, I think you will not get that error anymore. Basically the joint twists with large rotations.

meta2tr's solution is to add a second set of faces already twisted so that they untwist when the normal faces twist.

meta2tr had a fix for this in the instructions for meta2tr program.

Check the armpits for his model in older demo, the one with the horse.
