I think I understand where you are coming from. The problem is that you are asking reviewers to define an absolute scale of 1-10 in terms of effort put into a level, but that is not feasible. What if I play level A today and rate it 10/10/10/10, and then next year level B comes out that surpassed le...
Some builders spend years on level to make their level appear in the hall of fame while some builders rush their work with little care to details and their levels appear in hall of fame too? Seriously? Care to name a few examples? Now how can a builder, who spends 5 -10 years on a game, feel about ...

As long as you are using TRNG, you should be able to use an audio flipeffect to trigger looping audio. Outside of that, I do not think it is possible.
My main complaint though is the GLOWING scores these levels receive when in reality they do not deserve them. Yes, reviewing is subjective but come on, if it is no fun and painful to play then why not reflect that in the score provided? I have only played one of the four levels you mention, Hostile...

Those restrictions have no reason to exist. Maybe, maybe not. As an outsider to this discussion, I would much rather defer to whatever Jesus C.Croft may have to say. One thing I don't need to "speak the language" to realize: Two accomplished builders (and maybe more that we don't know about) have a...
I agree that assigning a difficulty rating is overall too subjective to be useful. But maybe we could make things more granular and let users decide for themselves? We could introduce a couple of (non-scoring) ratings such as "gameplay length", "amount of combat" etc. and having them readily availab...
I've had this happen with Castle Herringstein. I ended up deleting the offending .dll file and was able to play the game. This thread has some suggestions that may help as well. However this is only for that specific level, so if you are dealing with a different .dll file in a different level then t...
Sorry for the bump, but I was just thinking about this and was wondering: if we can't find enough people to work on a new package for Btb, would anyone consider having a second round using a previous package? We've had some great stuff made over the years and I for one wouldn't mind seeing some of t...

A Spooky Tomb by Melvin Hall When Lara reaches a space with two pushable towers on a grid, the walkthrough says: Pull the NW piece on your right one time E. Move the other piece two times W. I believe the second instruction should be "two times S". This would match up with Sylwia's screenshot in th...

If the level uses NGLE, try toggling between versions 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168. I don't know which version that level uses, but for some people, switching from the older .dll file to the newer one works, and for others it is the opposite. This fixes the black screen problem for me usually. You can downlo...

A few guesses: Lack of nostalgia. Raiders likely feel more nostalgia for earlier TRs and thus may be more inclined to build with those engines than TR5. It doesn't help that the game itself was not received as well as its predecessors. As you noted, there are limited objects. There are no vehicles a...
Thank you for the kind words everyone I plan to keep this going for a while, next step is an EDM edition of the album later this year. And then I will give attention to new songs that have already been springing up in my head!
It was a resolution of mine for the past few years to publicly release an album, and finally I have achieved my goal! It may not be the most professionally made album but it was a lot of fun to make. :) Don’t Die Wondering has seven songs, four with talented vocalists and three with me on the clarin...
One thing I've noticed is that when I log in from one device, I tend to be logged out of other devices (regardless of the "remember me" setting). So I just stay logged in on one, and if I'm reading on other devices I tend not to bother logging in. There's also the fact that these forums are not secu...
