You can remove ball either with KILL_ITEM or MOVE_ITEM flipeffect editor commands.

Of course. But there is a patch that allows rollingball to shatter statics (in certain position, however) and to kill enemies.

I suppose that it happens because TR4 engine does not reset object collision height in flipped rooms. When you're loading previously saved game, engine indeed resets object collision, so all these objects become climbable again. Actually TREP has nothing to do with effects.bin file, it's the part of Tomo's weather patch. TREP can fully work without effects.bin file and it won't modify or create it at all. Make sure you have COMDLG32.OCX file and all other VB6 libraries installed in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 folder. Maybe TREP immediately unloads because it can't initialize this library.

Thanks. Note that now you also can fix horrible Flare Bug :) . I'm not sure if it will work normally in all cases, but at least it works great with my test level (about 50 flame emitters and 20 fog bulbs at the same time).

I think it's because engine doesn't count horizon as an object, it simply uses its mesh to render the sky. Skybox is not "usual" object, so it can't contain animations like any other animating objects. But you still can use animated textures on it.

If you only need to copy AI from one slot to another (for example, to use different enemy outfits with the same AI), i can try to make this patch. Just tell which enemy slot you need to overwrite and which enemy's AI you want to use.

If you're not on Mac, i don't recommend you to use flipeffects to disable weapons, because it's too buggy - it won't actually remove weapons from inventory and will produce very strange glitches when you will try to use flares.
